I have been devoted to the ocean, and to the surfing lifestyle, since my earliest beginnings.
It is in my heart. It is in my soul. I paint with a passion for a subject I am forever dedicated to.
The Style
I paint freely, with a strong vision in mind.
My work is influenced by a majority of the great movements of the art world and extends from Impressionistic to Abstract.
The Music
Each piece is created while listening to a certain work of music. Sometimes it's Mozart.
Sometimes it's the Beach Boys. Each piece has the inspirational music listed on the back.

Hope to see some Winston-Salem friends at this wonderful exhibit, dedicated to water. I will have two of my paintings at the exhibit, "Surfer c'est rever" and "Hot Tropic." Come out and support art in Winston-Salem, and me!
Water is a vital resource to all peoples around the world. It connects us as a means of transport, it sustains us as a natural resource, and inspires us as artists. Waterways is an exhibition themed around water, this includes streams, rivers, oceans, seas and any depiction even abstracted imagery involving water.

I call this, "Beneath." It's 36"x36", acrylic on canvas. It has painted, 1 and1/2" sides and is gallery mounted. When you're waiting on the waves, bobbing in the ocean, it's so peaceful and the world is so beautiful. But, you're always wondering what's going on in the world beneath. A lot like life, huh? Painted to The Doors, Complete Collection, Disc 1 and 2.

This is "Deep Water Daydream." This is my most ambitious undertaking to date. It is 5 feet wide by 4 feet tall (60x48), acrylic on canvas. The depth of the piece is astounding. The picture does not do it justice. A must see in person. Painted to Blood, Sweat and Tears, The Association's Greatest Hits and Dan Fogelberg's Exiles album. This piece needs a wall and commands attention!
This is "Sunset Wave Club", it is 36"x48", acrylic on canvas. It has 1/2" painted sides. This baby is bright, and beautiful! There is an immersion of color, incorporating a myriad of metallics. Painted to Alice Cooper's Love it to Death and Chuck Mangione's 20th Century Masters.

"Tribute", 24"x36" acrylic on canvas." Dedicated to the three surf legends who passed away recently; John Severson, Jack O'Neill and Dick Catri. As my dad said, "they always go in three's." And a tribute to all those no longer with us, who loved frolicking in the beautiful waves. Painted to Black Sabbath, Paranoid and the Riverdance soundtrack.

I wanted to capture the feeling of being in a wipeout on a large wave. It's both terrifying and beautiful. Painted to Guardians of the Galaxy 1 soundtrack, and Big Waves, 5 Decades of Surf Rock.

I call this, "Ascension." It is 4 ft x 4 ft, acrylic on canvas, with 1 and 3/8" painted, gallery sides. It's a soulful piece, with a lot of hopeful, upward movement. It was painted to the John Adams and Out of Africa soundtracks.

What a wonderful night! Great turnouts at both exhibits; "Waterways " for Associated Artists of Winston-Salem at The Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts and "Unbound and Unleashed" for Arts for Arts Sake at Red Dog Gallery. I was very honored that my painting, "Deep Water Daydream" won the People's Choice Award at the Unbound and Unleashed show at Red Dog Gallery. Thanks to everyone who came out on this beautiful night!
